FAQ
Can I register as a mixed team?
Yes. Our tournament is open to both institutional as well as mixed teams.
As a debate society/university, how many teams can I register?
You can register as many teams as you wish. However, bear in mind that: a) we will grant teams on a first-come, first-served basis, b) there is a 60-teams cap, and c) your spot(s) will be secured only after you pay your reg fee.
Is there a cap?
Yes. We currently have a 60-teams cap for International teams. Depending on the demand, we might consider extending the cap.
We also apply a 3 teams/institution cap to ensure diversity of teams.
Ok, I completed the form. When will I know if I got a spot?
We will send you an e-mail confirming your registration as soon as we can. If you were in the first 60 team registered, we will announce you that you got a spot. If not, you will be wait-listed.
When will the registration close?
On April 30, 20:00 CET.
Do we need to bring an adjudicator?
We intend to apply the n-1 rule for at this tournament (1 team-0 judges; 2 teams-1 judge; 3 teams-2 judges). However, we ask clubs who are having troubles meeting this requirement to contact us for a waiver of this rule. All judges must be registered separately.
We also invite everybody who wishes to adjudicate as an independent at our tournament to register using the separate registration form for judges.
If I want to come as a judge, can I get some funding?
Our travel subsides are highly dependent on the amount of sponsorship we can raise. We will be able to make a decision in that sense only in May. However, please contact us if your participation is dependent on financial aid, and we will try to find a solution.
