Food, drinks and fun
Food
In terms of food, Cluj-Napoca is one of the best cities in Romania and one that covers almost all types of cuisines and a very large variety of prices. 1) Da Vinci Website: http://www.davinciristorante.ro/ A stylish restaurant in the north of the town, in a quiet area. It has a very nice garden and breezeway for eating outdoor. Also, with an airy room in the interior would do just fine for you. As you have already guessed it’s based on the Italian cuisine. However, it’s not one of the cheapest in town. 2) Casa Piratilor (Pirates’ House) and Casa Vikingilor (Vikings’ House) Website: http://www.casapiratilor.ro/cluj.html & Website: http://www.casavikingilor.ro/ We put this two together because they’re based on the same principles: thematic places, funny food names, very big portions of food at really good prices. Both have a nice rustic atmosphere and serve traditional Romanian food and beverages. If you want to get there with a big group and eat together some group menus it’s a great place to do it. They are open all the time and you can even order from there. 3) Beyfin Website: http://www.hotelbeyfin.com/site/ This restaurant has an excelent view over the city center and over the most important sights. They also have a restaurant and a sweet shop. Service is excellent and meals are medium/medium-high. 4) Hora Website: http://www.restaurantul-hora.ro/ Named after a Romanian traditional dance, Hora is a restaurant based on traditional and local cuisine. They are very good at desserts and have a large variety of sweet recipes. 5) Bulgakov Website: https://www.facebook.com/BulgakovClub Bulgakov is a place that’s very common for debaters in Cluj. It has outdoor seating, a covered lounge and a dark interior restaurant. It’s situated right in the center of the town, on a very nice old street, I.M. Klein, that reminds of the time Cluj was still a citadel. Good for all types of meals (try the Masters’ breakfast and cheese pancakes). It’s excellent for big groups and it’s not an expensive place. 6) Baracca Website: http://www.baracca.ro/index.html Baracca is a restaurant with international, mostly Italian specific. It is very close to the Babes-Bolyai University, situated in the City Center. The atmosphere is relaxing and chill with very nice ambience music. They have a wide range of desserts and a big variety of dishes. It is very nice place, but not one of the cheapest ones. Clubs, Pubs & CoffeehousesDiesel

After entering this cafe, an eclectic dim-lit atmosphere will surround you. But after your eyes adapt to the pale lights, you will start discovering a unique decor. The setting seizes a special theme: The Mask and the paintings disposed on each wall have an encrypted riddle.
